Mountains!
For the most part, Germany is pretty flat. An exception is the south-eastern section, near the Austrian border. Near Garmish-Partenkirchen lies the Zugspitze, the tallest mountain in Germany (9,700 feet).


The winter Olympics were held here at some point, and it's still host of many winter sporting events.
It was quite a picturesque walk.
Eri was quick to find the biergarden, although it was closed.
The real reason for visiting this area was to hike on a trail through the mountains. There's a section where the falling water freezes on the cliffside, forming huge icicles and ice sheets.
